Today I’m talking about the #1 way to avoid being the face of your online brand…and I’m really glad you’re here to learn about it.
You see, there are so many potential business owners out there who have been dreaming a long time about starting an online store. Their biggest hang up, though, is they’re afraid of having to be the face of their brand online.
I get it. I didn’t want to be either when I started my first online store.
Now, I do know some online store owners who LOVE being on camera. They don’t hesitate to wear their product and show the great ways it can be styled. Or they’ll talk about their product—they’re so good it’s like watching a QVC segment! They’ll even dance around on TikTok to highlight their product. And they do it so, so well!
But that’s…not me. And maybe not you, either.
That’s why I’m sharing my #1 way to avoid being the face of your online brand by introducing someone special on my podcast today.
I’m not lying when I say she was key to me hitting the million-dollar mark (and multi-million-dollar mark) with my first online store. And she did it while virtually nobody knew my name or what I looked like.
Who is this fantastical, wildly amazing online wonder woman?
Her name is Nikki and she’s the kind of neighbor everyone wants to have. Her husband is an attorney, but when we started working together he was really just getting started. Nikki has three kids and drives a minivan—the ultimate kid hauler. Her favorite color is turquoise, and she’s loves being the first person to get her hands on the latest hot trend—as long as it’s classic.
Oh, and by the way…Nikki isn’t actually…real.
Nikki is the avatar, or the buyer persona, I created for my online shop. Every product I sold was with her in mind. She was the beginning of my 6-step method to selling—and I’m going over every single one of them in my latest podcast.
To make it easy for you to remember, I came up with the acronym “HEROES.”
Also, I encourage you to take a stroll through my podcast pages. There are so many people who have incredible online stores who aren’t the face of their brands. I talk about one of them in this episode featuring Krista and her million-dollar tee-shirt business. Learn more about it, here.
