Building a successful ecommerce partnership—just like any kind of business partnership.

Entrepreneurs have different ideas and different personalities…it can be tough to meld them.

Now imagine if your ecommerce partner…was your mom? Or in the reverse, what if your ecommerce partnership was with your child?

Well, if you’re anything like mom-and-daughter duo Diane Kesinger and Brenna Potash, you are going to CRUSH it.

That’s why I loved welcoming them on my podcast and learning more about their thriving online store, Bee + Me

Brenna was just six weeks old when her parents started their first business, so you could say being an entrepreneur is in her blood. And one thing I think is so great is that Diane and her husband had their kids work right alongside them in their business. Think of the amazing opportunity that was for Brenna and her brother to learn about business.

Can I relate? Absolutely. My kids were right beside me as I built my companies. They learned to print labels, to pack products (making sure to add in Laffy Taffy!) and get them ready to send. Eventually, my daughters partnered together to start their own ecommerce store. (You can hear more of their story here.)

So what makes Diane and Brenna such great partners? They recognize and complement one another’s skillset. For example, Brenna excels at product photography, while Diane is great with the logistics of packaging. It’s a balance that works really well and allows each to focus on what they do best.

I learned so much about building a successful ecommerce partnership from Brenna and Diane, and I think you’ll be blown away by what they have to share.

Who knows? Maybe it will inspire you to start your own online store with a friend or family member!
