What's It About…

Everyone thinks that the path to success will be a straight road lined with roses and the sunset on the horizon guiding you to the promised land. 

But that’s rarely – if ever – the reality. (even if people make it seem that way on Instagram) 

It's more like a twisting road with ups, downs, things trying to fail on you from above, bridges collapsing in front of you, and mystery around every corner.

Does that long, drawn-out analogy paint a good picture for you?

In episode 6, I’ll be telling you about a gal I've been coaching on how to grow her business, and she's done over six figures in her online business. ⁣

The interesting thing is the way she's gotten to this point in her business.⁣ She didn’t find instant success⁣, she didn't sell out of all her products on the first try⁣, she didn't have it all figured out before she started⁣.

For a long time on her journey, she did what most of the world calls “failing”. In fact, the exact thing that makes most people quit and shut the doors on their dreams actually made her 6-figures.⁣

She earned her first $100k by failing.

Wouldn't you want to make six figures by “failing”? 

It's OK, you can say “Heck yes” out loud if you want to right now – because who wouldn't want to earn triple a teacher's salary by “failing”?

But the truth is, no one wants to feel like a failure. ⁣This is why failing takes most people off their path and puts them back in their old life – they don't know how to handle and turn these negative thoughts around to work for them.

If we think about this “failure” more like a bump or disruption that is supposed to happen so we can actually get to the thing that we are headed to, then everything changes. Our mindset is now in a whole new place and how we handle the situation will be way different than it would have been before reframing the situation in this way. ⁣

You need to realize that this bump or distraction is actually going to get us on the right course.⁣

Think about that for a second and let it sink in…⁣
