Get to Know Bev Schweigert
Before starting her own business, Bev designed monuments for a funeral home for 15 years. She was also the office manager of the funeral home and that job put a lot of stress on her because she had four other offices that reported to her. Bev felt like this was too much work for her to be doing.
After her daughters graduated college and got married, Bev told her husband that it was time for her to quit her job. They could afford to live on her husband’s salary, so she was able to pursue other avenues.
The Beginning of Everything
Bev has always been passionate about mission work, but after quitting her job, she had time to focus on it more. However, she had to find a way to fund her mission trips to Peru and the Amazon jungle.
Her husband had a woodworking business on the side, and he sold the items that he made as a hobby. In November 2018, Bev started looking online for courses on how to sell online. That’s when the stars aligned, and she stumbled upon my website!
She joined my program and started working on a way to sell her husband’s wood projects online. She applied to Pick Your Plum and was accepted.
Becoming a vendor at Pick Your Plum gave her the opportunity to put her husband’s work out there. She started posting his items, and they started selling.
Her husband didn’t make many of his products since it was a hobby for him, so there wasn't enough to sell to make a steady income. So, Bev went to work and figured out what her passion was and how she could monetize it.
What did Bev do? And what was the idea that made her business explode? Bev answers these questions and shares so much more in today's episode of How to Sell Online. Click the link and tune in now!
